In a way, I wish there were words or some way that I could accurately express how grateful that I am to be here; I wish that I could convey clearly how much I LOVE our students, the villagers--the Karen people group! However, I guess that in at least one way, this is a good thing for at least some of you. The reason...Well, you see, if I could clearly express through myself what it's like, then the incentive and thrill of being a part of overseas missions wouldn't be as great because you would have somehow been "able" to experience it through me or someone else. That's a VERY GOOD thing that you can't do that! So, it is absolutely true that you can't genuinely know what missions is like until you become a foreign missionary, yourself. I've heard mission stories all my life and, wow, not only have many of those stories, especially Dr. Rabbit's (Eric B. Hare), have come ALIVE, but in some (or maybe many) cases have become part of my LIFE.
If God calls you to be a foreign missionary, I encourage you to take it seriously with your whole heart. When He calls, that means that there is at least one treasure that only you can bring to Him.
Thank you for your prayers for the Karen people and Sunshine Orchard. Please, don't stop...We never can get enough of this weapon.
