"They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." ~ Psalm 126:5-6

~Brighten Your Corner~

Last night for evening worship special music, one of our tharas (male teachers) sang one of my very favorite songs, "Brighten the Corner." I thought about some of the words (in English) as he sang.

God has called each one of us to brighten the corners that we are in. You see, when we don't seek with all our hearts to bring joy to every soul that is around us, then, we aren't being missionaries for Christ--we aren't bringing the joy of heaven to those dying because they don't have a personal, saving relationship with Christ, and they haven't experienced the joy and peace that come from knowing Him.

I pray that as you read these words, that you will meditate upon them and ask God to help you brighten your corner.

Vs.1
Do not wait until some deed of greatness you may do,
Do not wait to shed your light afar,
To the many duties ever near you now be true,
Brighten the corner where you are.

    Refrain
    Brighten the corner where you are!
    Brighten the corner where you are!
    Someone far from harbor you may guide across the bar;
    Brighten the corner where you are!

    Vs.2
    Just above are clouded skies that you may help to clear,
    Let not narrow self your way debar;
    Though into one heart alone may fall your song of cheer,
    Brighten the corner where you are.

    Vs.3
    Here for all your talent you may surely find a need,
    Here reflect the bright and Morning Star;
    Even from your humble hand the Bread of Life may feed,
    Brighten the corner where you are.
