After walking with her to the garden, I left and went to find Thara Eh Guh Nyaw to talk to him about Thet Zaw Oo. He doesn't know why he left. We are very sad that he left. He will be missed.
After talking to him, I headed home. However, as I came to the house I saw a crowd of students with Thet Zaw Oo, standing by the road as they awaited local transportation to take him to where he would cross into Burma. I soon was out there with them.
I fought to hold back the tears. Why is he leaving? Oh, I hope that he'll be faithful....were some of my thoughts. Prayers ascended to my Father.
All too soon we waved "goodbye". I am praying that he'll come back to this mission school if God wants him here, but if I should never see him again on this earth, I desire more than anything that we will soon be able to spend eternity together with our Redeemer. So, instead of "goodbye", I pray that it is "See you soon!"
When I got home, I fell onto my knees in my room. Tears rolled down my face as I talked to the One that loves this boy and wants him to be His child more than I ever could. He's the One that has given me love for Thet Zaw Oo and our other boys, as well as our girls. And His love for this jungle boy from "no man's land" is what makes me pray earnestly for his salvation.
I must not cease to earnestly plead for his salvation and that he will dedicate his life to the Lord. Since he has desired to be a Christian, I know the Devil will work harder than he did before Thet Zaw Oo came to our school to keep him from committing his life to God, but I pray that he will not have the victory over this boy.
| His smile will always be a blessing to me. |
I and I know others will miss his enthusiastic involvement during worships and his active interest in spiritual things. He is one of the students that reads Bible texts during worship the most. I can see him as a missionary for the God of heaven and I pray that he will be faithful and that he will be a missionary to the people in his village and all those he's around. May his smile bring many a person to know his new-found Friend. I pray that his great potential to being a worker for God will become a steadfast reality.
God has called him to be another Karen, jungle hero. Thet Zaw Oo will not be able to face the spiritual challenges on his own. He needs God's help. But, he needs mine and your help, too. Please help to strengthen him by interceding for him.
May he be a light that will not die!
My earnest prayers ascend for him along with yours, Sister.
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord, brother! :)
DeleteI know those tears... my Cambodian 12th grade friends caused me the same, taking off from Siem Reap...
ReplyDeleteOh, it's extremely hard, isn't it? We must pray earnestly, untiringly for our dear young people--Karen, Cambodians....
DeleteI am praying for him, and all the other students there, that they may seek the Lords strength continually!...He'll never fail them! So thankful for the privilege of prayer, that we can lift these dear souls to the throne of grace, to our dear Father who ever listens and cares about each one! :)
ReplyDeletePraise God for your prayers and that He WILL NOT fail them! You are so right...what a privilege prayer is and that we have a part in winning their lives for Christ through it! :)
