Ah, working with the students this morning in the garden. Picking
Morning Glory to eat and carrying cow manure mixed with straw in rice sacks to two of
the gardens with them was so much fun.
I, and of course the students,
love working together. So many good, lasting memories that are made
working together that cannot be made through any other circumstance.
When they see that you not only play with them,
stay in the dorm with
them (that is, the with the girls, of course),
teach them,
sometimes hang-out with them,
and sometimes
eat with them,
but that you want to work with them--do all the messy, fun stuff that they have to do, even in the rain-- and they see that you
enjoy it,
that, I think, wins
their hearts in a deeper way then the other ways.
But, of course, I believe all of these avenues work together to open their heart to the Lord and helps them to be more open to accept the truths of the Bible and their Savior of whom we tell them about during worship and chapel talks, etc.
