"They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." ~ Psalm 126:5-6

~Blessings from a Sprained Knee~

What? You can get blessings from having a sprained knee? Yep, you sure can. I have been.

I sprained my knee while playing a ball game with our IMM (Intensive Medical Missionary) students, Thara LeRoy Sharon, and my mom during their recreation time on Tuesday afternoon.

I managed to teach English to grades 1-4 (sitting down whenever I could) on Wednesday.

My knee was in much worse pain on Thursday and dad ended up needing someone to go with him to Mae Sot (2 hours from here), so he asked me. It was nice to not have to go to classes. I could, instead, give my leg a lot of rest.

It was so nice to spend the time with dad. I was also greatly blessed by listening to some of Norman McNalty's series on the book of Daniel that he did in Trinidad.

I was already thinking about doing a worship talk on Daniel and the lions' den this morning, but he got me going and now I'm beginning to study the book of Daniel.

Last night and before worship this morning, I prayed, that if it was God's will, he would keep me from having no or almost no pain in my knee during worship. Praise God! He answered my prayer. I had hardly any pain during worship. The pain started to increase as soon as I began walking home from the chapel. It's amazing that God cares about such small things in our lives, and pays attention to such small, personal requests. :) Oh, the love and tender sympathy of our God!

This morning, I went through chapter 1 of Daniel for morning worship. A tremendously wonderful study to say the least. (See my previous post about my study on chapter 1.)

So, if my knee wasn't in pain, who knows if I would have ever or when I would have listened to Normon McNalty's talks.

Also, I'm thankful for such a trial because it's another growing opportunity from heaven to strengthen and refine my character as I'm on this rugged road to heaven and as I'm working with Him and other missionaries to guide others onto and in that path.

Yes, spraining a knee is a blessing from heaven... :)
