I wish you could see her on her knees praying to her heavenly Father who knows her want, joy, sorrows, challenges--who know the depths of her soul and who is the most faithful, tender, and loving Friend.
I wish you could see her open her Bible and read and study it's sacred, golden pages that are worth more than the mostly costly jewel before she lays down her head for the night and when she arises .
I wish you could see...
I have recently spent a few nights in the girls' dorm. I wish you could see many a girl on her knees and reading from her Bible. Staying in the dorm has given me a deeper picture of the Holy Spirit's work on the hearts of each of these girls. Most of the ones that I've see are not baptized students, but they are beholding something of glorious, eternal weight and are becoming transformed into the image of Christ.
It's beyond beautiful to see such beautiful moments such as these that set aglow the nights and early mornings with the knowledge of the abiding presence of God in this place and in their hearts.
I wish you could see...
Students are asking some of us staff some serious, spiritual questions, such as one that a girl asked Hannah, "Of all the Christian churches out there, why did you pick the Seventh-day Adventist church?"
There are so many ways that we are seeing evidence of the Holy Spirit's unceasing miracle working power and love in the hearts of our treasures--His girls and boys.
Oh, my friend,
I wish you could see!
