"They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." ~ Psalm 126:5-6

~Set It on FIRE!~

I often find myself  looking at the lofty, gorgeous mountains of Burma that lie just on the other side of the big Moi River.

However, I can't just look at them and behold the master workmanship of the Creator. Those mountains draw my mind to something much deeper. Much deeper. Of course, I can't help but every time think about it's war torn condition and how the Karen are treated, but what weighs the heaviest upon my heart and affects my life more is the slavery of the terrible spiritual gloom that has penetrated the country.

My prayer is that the glory of the Lord will soon illuminate the hills, valleys, and everywhere in Burma.

This is the heavy burden of my soul.

There are a small handful of missionaries in it, but not enough. I pray that many more dedicated missionaries will set it on fire and that many people will be set free and become faithful missionaries, as well.

I hope and pray that you will join me and others in interceding for the people of Burma--not just for the Karen but for all its people groups. You may not be able to go as a missionary; you may not be able to financially support missionaries and missionary work there; but YOU CAN PRAY. God won't be able to do what He wants to do if we don't do our part. Let's claim and believe what Jesus said in Matthew 7:7, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:".

God wants to do amazing things--things beyond anyone's most thought-out plans and ideas. We just need to banish self, believe in Him, and ask.

Thanks, fellow missionaries, for your prayers and support!

Yes, not enough...Shari I pray with you. I pray that God will, like you said, set those hills on fire, and the many other hills too...

You don't pray alone. You *don't*. Although here in the states, I pray. So hard. Pray that somehow, God will open doors for those of us who long to go, and open hearts for those of His children that as of right now don't want to go, that they too, may be willing one day...

    He is able.... So able.

Those hills *will* be set on fire Shari.SOON.

Thank you for this post...I am so glad I came across it... Your words encouraged, blessed.
Thank you for serving Him so faithfully.
