"They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." ~ Psalm 126:5-6

July 26, 2011!!!

Two Fridays ago, my dad bought our Korean air tickets for our flight to Thailand. We are departing from the USA onJuly 26, 2011!!!  Our air journey will begin at 11:30 AM for our flight to the Seattle airport. After that, begins the wonderful, long-awaited journey across "the great pond" to our new home amongst the jungles. Wow, it's amazing how God has been leading us to go to Thailand! There have already been some incredible blessings.

We are busy getting ready to pack for Thailand and for storage--Our storage is an old delivery truck--and we're busy with other preparations for Thailand....I'm hoping to finish studying Anatomy and Physiology before we leave. I'm planning on taking the book with me. We're a hive of four busy bees... :D

I can't express how excited and happy that I am that we are soon to be there--our mission home! No doubt, our mission, God's mission, isn't going to always be easy. There will be many difficult challenges, but that's okay because we are co-missionaries with Jesus who is the Supreme Missionary, the Great Physician, our dearest friend--our Redeemer! And, on top of that, we have His angels that are ever watching over those who work for Him, and they are untiringly, unceasingly working for the salvation of every member of the fallen race, even for those who are Buddhists and are devil worshipers. Sometimes some of our students will get possessed by demons. Praise God, that He will still free people from the grip of the Devil just as He did for the men who were possessed in Matthew 8 and Luke 8.

There are endless blessings in store, as well! I'm looking forward to them...And with the Lord's help, I'll count every trial a blessing. For one thing, the trials are essential tools for salvation...They are to help to perfect our characters and get us ready for heaven. The apostle Paul says in Philippians 4:4,  "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice." Colossians 1:24:  "Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:" 1Th 5:16, 18:  "Rejoice evermore.... In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

Please continue to keep Sunshine Orchard and all of those who are involved with it in prayer! Thanks so much for your prayers!

"All who are on the Lord's side are to confess Christ. "Ye are My witnesses, saith the Lord." The faith of the genuine believer will be made manifest in purity and holiness of character. Faith works by love and purifies the soul, and with faith there will be corresponding obedience, a faithful doing of the words of Christ. Christianity is always intensely practical, adapting itself to all the circumstances of actual life. "Ye are My witnesses." To whom?--To the world; for you are to bear about with you a holy influence. Christ is to abide in your soul, and you are to talk of Him and make manifest the charms of His character." ~Messages to Young People, 200.1
"Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he:..." ~Isaiah 43:10

John 17:18, 20 ~ "As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;"

Share the light from the Fountain of Truth! Most likely you will come in contact with someone who can only be reached for Christ through you. There are spiritually thirsty and dying people all around us. We can be witnesses even in our homes, amongst our friends, and in our churches. Let's be unashamed of the gospel of Christ.

  1. How interesting...I'm studying A&P as well.

You know Sharon, it's such an encouragement to see you on fire and excited about your mission. So often it seems that there's so much to do a no one is doing it. I mean, just here on the Navajo reservation we have several large towns with no Adventist presence. The large majority of Navajo's are NAC (Native American Church). NAC's are basically devil worshippers. The have to many 'taboos' and customs. And if it's like that here, just think how it must be in the rest of the world. Millions of people who do not know Christ! Praise God that you're going to spread His light and love in Thailand. It's needed, immensely.

  2. That's neat, Kezziah. I love A&P!

It's a great encouragement to me, as well, when I especially see young people, including you, devoting their all to serving the Lord. It is true, the harvest is ripe, but the reapers are SO Few.

You guys have an amazing mission there! It is in my prayer. Interesting...I don't think that I knew that they are devil worshipers. It can be a huge challenge to fight the enemy hand-in-hand like that, but God is much more powerful, and when we are on His side, no one, not even the Devil will be able to stand against us. Through Christ, we can bring freedom to those who are held in Satan's shackles. Praise our Saviour!

God has given each of us a special mission!

  3. NAC does not consider themselves devil worshippers (I just looked it up). However, they do believe in communing with the dead and with spirits (which basically is witchcraft). They have 'traditional doctors' who do ceremonies and herbs (much like witchdoctors). They believe in one Creator. It is a religion based on the use of Peyote.
You can go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Native_American_Church and read about it. It is wikipedia and I don't know what you think about that. It does seem to be pretty accurate.

Of course, NAC is not the only religion. We have a lot of independent churches, Johovah Witnesses and LDS. Of, course, they're all small churches...but they're there.

You're right. We fight an hand-to-hand struggle with the powers of darkness, with addictions. Thank you for your prayers. They are needed. You are in my prayers as well.

  4. NAC sounds like a pretty sad religion. I feel so sorry for those who are influenced by it. Praise God that He has all power over darkness! :)
