"They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." ~ Psalm 126:5-6

~Students: Gifts of Heaven (pt 6)~

Experienced some of the best English classes this morning that I've ever been in......

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Although still fighting terrible weakness from Dengue Fever, I decided to try to at least teach grade 5 this morning. My dear students hadn't had even one class yet this week, and I wanted them to get at least one in.
With my English teacher's stuff and a mini marker board, I walked from our house to the other side of the campus where my little hut is (close to the school). On the entire way down, I pushed discoragment, fears, and doubts out of my mind by praying and claiming God promises.
I finally got to my little corner of the hut and practically collapsed onto the bamboo floor.
Again, feeling the weight of my weakness, discouraging thoughts fell heavy upon me like a rice bag full of wet sand. Why in the world am I doing this? It's too much. I can't do it. I'm too weak. There's no way.... I sent up a prayer to my Father, "Oh, my Father, help me. Help! Give me strength. Thank You. I know You will. You've done it countless times, and You will again."
Just then, I heard the school bell ring, announcing five minutes until grade 5 English class would begin.
With a promise in my heart and the reassurance that I wasn't doing this alone, I climbed down the wooden ladder and headed for class.
Thu Zay Kie met me on my way and took mostly everything away from me and carried it to class. A sigh of relief and Thank You, Lord came from my heart.
I sure was happy to see that someone had put a small table in the classroom for teachers. Aw, yes, something to lean on... What a wonderful surprise it was!
Class was absolutely wonderful. My Commissioner gave me strength and the kids were great as usual.
Then I decided that I'd go ahead and try to teach grade 6.
We opened class with "Jesus Loves Me."
Yes, Jesus does loves me! I know You do!
I had held up the marker board for only a few seconds when I realized that I couldn't do it. My arms had had enough weight lifting for the moment. I decided that I'd better ask for a volunteer to hold the board for me. But, before I could get the words out of my mouth, Eh Guh Lu stood up and asked if he could help.
Thank You, again, Lord.
He held the board until I was done using it. He also was my assistant teacher by helping me explain some things in Karen so the other students would understand better.
Because he was co-teaching a bit, I decided to tease him about being a teacher.
Pointing to Eh Guh Lu, I asked the class, "Is he your teacher?"
Class: "No, he is not. He is a student."
Me: "You're sure?"
Class: "Yes."
Feeling a bit embarrassed, Eh Guh Lu quickly replied, "No, teacher. No."
Pointing at Mae Too, he said, "He is a teacher."
However, it was shortly after that that he began asking the students, "Are my students finished?" (asking if they were finished copying).
The students usually didn't answer him. Some of them just laughed until I asked them if they were finished copying. Then they answered.
When I was done using the marker board, he handed it back to me and then headed for his seat.
While headed back to his seat...
Me: "Thank you!"
Eh Guh Lu: "Thank you!"
Me: "THARA!" (male teacher)
I can totally see that boy becoming a teacher and/or evangelist/pastor/Bible worker some day.
What an incredible, blessing-filled morning! Oh, my Father's love.... :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~

An object lesson popped into my mind on my way home....

Eh Guh Lu stood there during the rest of class with marker board in hand, giving me the help that I needed.

It's the same with my Commissioner. He faithfully stands beside me at every moment and promises, "Faithful [am I] that calls you, who also will do it." (1 Thessalonians 5:24)

He did it...again!

And I know that He'll do it again and again because He has promised.
